The Reds dream of a Super 14 title continues with the club moving into fourth position after their win over the Bulls on Saturday night.

It’s been nine years since the club last tasted finals rugby but they’re playing like a team all too familiar with the prospect.

But under new management they aren’t getting ahead of themselves.

Ben Daley, Reds Prop: “Well that’s the good thing about having Ewen as a coach, he really keeps your feet on the ground. You’re only as good as your last game and that’s what he instills in us.”

It’s been a tough ride for Reds’ supporters over the past few seasons, but they’re turning out in their thousands, getting more supporters than the Broncos on the weekend.

Saia Faingaa, Reds Prop: “They only budgeted seventeen thousand for the game and we ended up getting twenty seven or twenty six thousand. And for us to bring people back to wanna actually watch us play is phenomenal.”

There’s an air of confidence here at the Gabba too, with the Lions four from four laying a solid platform for their 2010 season.

This year’s start has been their best since two thousand and two but they know they can’t become complacent with struggling opponents, such as the Demons this week.

Michael Voss, Brisbane Lions Coach: “Even when we were going very well I never once thought we would blow a team off the park. And if we did we probably lost.”
