There are plenty of die hard fans in Canberra and they sent the Raiders off to Sydney ahead of Sunday’s grand final with big dreams.

But the team has some problems.

Their co-captain, Josh Hodgson has a virus and missed the last training session.

He’s a key player for them.

Brett White, Raiders Assistant Coach: “The medical staff will keep an eye on him through the week and um assess him every day.”

The Raiders haven’t held the premiership trophy for 25 years, and believe this could be their best chance.

The team will certainly need the fans vocal support against a very strong Roosters side.

Meanwhile Richmond, the winners of the AFL Grand Final, have now named their best and fairest player, Dion Prestia.

Dion Prestia, Richmond Tigers: “It’s just um yeah, really incredible to be up here right now.”

He was lauded for a consistently high level of performance through the entire season.
