Festival 2018 brings family friendly fun


The Commonwealth Games’ Festival 2018 has seen Surfers Paradise buzzing from the early morning and into the night.

Sun, surf and family friendly fun.

Festival 2018 is proving to be a major attraction for those wanting to soak up Games fever.

Vox 1: “It’s fantastic! We’ve just arrived today and we’re really loving it.”

Running right through the day – and into the night

Vox 2: “It’s heaps of fun. We’re dancing and listening to the music. It’s awesome.”

Despite reports of numbers being down.

Organisers say they are happy with the community response.

Yaron Lifschitz, Festival 2018 Co-Creative Director: “I don’t know what be down means because there has never been this festival before.”

Successfully joining together sport and culture.

Festival events like this are being held right across the coast, as well as in Brisbane and North Queensland, all designed to showcase our unique Queensland culture.”
