Dedicated fans spent hours waiting to secure Grand Final tickets today.

Both Hawthorn and the Swans released 15,000 tickets to members this morning.

VOX 1: “Been sleeping out for two days, that was basically it, getting here early enough to beat the start of the queue.”

VOX 2: “I was actually shaking, and thinking that the computers were going to freeze in there, but yeah, great relief.”

Meanwhile, the fashion stakes are high for players’ wives and girlfriends finding just the right outfit for the Brownlow red carpet.

Geelong captain, Joel Selwood, is TAB’s favourite to win the illustrious medal, followed by two-time winner Gary Ablett.

Votes for the award were transported under tight security before the count tonight.
