Davis resigns from Qld Parliament

Maverick Government MP, Chris Davis quit the Parliament this afternoon. He says recent laws go against his values and those of his electorate. The State Opposition says it’s a vote of no-confidence in Premier Newman’s leadership. Danny Saba reports.

Student protests turn violent

Students protesting changes to higher education in the Budget, last night ambushed Education Minister Christopher Pyne. The demonstration became violent, when riot police were deployed to disperse the angry mob. Saskia Edwards reports.

Aussie man home after Bali nightmare

A Melbourne man, critically injured in a road accident in Bali, has arrived home for specialist treatment. The 43-year-old was put into an induced coma for the flight. Jacinta Lal reports.
